Joy founded Yad-Marpe (Hebrew, for God’s healing hands) in September 2010. She graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2006, with her Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Physiotherapy. In 2014, She completed a Post Graduate course in Orthopaedic and Manipulative Therapy and more recently another Post Graduate course specialising in Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
She has been registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa since 2006. She is also an accredited member of the South African Society of Physiotherapy.
In her ten years’ experience she has worked with both in- and out-patients of the SANDF, at the Air Force Base Langebaanweg, South African Air Force (2007), Alta Smit Physiotherapy unit based at N1 City Hospital (2008-2009), as well as the Netcare Blaauwberg Hospital (2009-2010). Patient Testimonials
I just came back from an amazing session. After my cesarean my back has been in constant pain. This help sorted it out!! Will definitely book weekly or once a month. I feel like my back is out of my neck lol. Really wonderful!!!
Patient
Easy to find. Friendly staff at reception. Michelle was very attentive to my pain levels while busy with my back muscle injury. All considered incl Covid precautions and the improvement I've had since first session, I would recommend when in need of a physio.
Patient
Had terrible back pain and muscle spasm. They made a way to see me the same day and 2 sessions later I was way better and didn't need more than that. Great staff and very professional.
Patient
This is an excellent physio therapy practice - From the receptionist to the therapists themselves. I highly recommend them.
